We Need Your Help
Your monetary donations are critical to the work of Good Hope and the services we provide. Donations allow Good Hope cover the running costs, such as rent and electricity, the Breakfast Program, and a small allowance for our workers. As a local Moshi Tanzanian NGO, we also prefer to support our economy by buying school supplies (pens, notebooks) and culturally sensitive textbooks and materials locally. Your monetary donations also help support our Community Social Work Program, which enables us to visit and bring healthy food to our homebound patients. There is increasing demand to expand the home visit service to reach more families in need. With your help, we can.

Good Hope is always on the lookout for the safest and cheapest way to transfer money to Tanzania, and we currently suggest three options: direct wire-transfer, money transfer services, or PayPal.

Please note that you may be charged a “wire transfer” fee of $35-$55 USD per transfer (depending on the amount sent).
Western Union is the world’s most well-known cash transfer service. Please note that all cash-pickup donations will only be picked up by Good Hope’s founder and director Oliver Canada Siriwa, and you will be provided with receipts confirming the cash-pickup and deposit at the bank.
There is also Transferwise to send money directly to Good Hope’s bank account. Some of our sponsors claim this to be the most comfortable solution, with the best exchange rates and lowest transfer costs of about 2% of the donated amount.
If you are a European sponsor or donor you can also donate via our German Advisory Board that is a registered NGO in Germany: Good Hope e.V.. Donations are possible via PayPal and bank transfer. The board can also provide German donors with a tax return receipt.
